Empathy Games

Empathy Games is a Big Finish Productions audiobook based on the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who.

The Companion Chronicles "talking books" are each narrated by one of the Doctor's companions and feature a second, guest-star voice along with music and sound effects.

Plot

Lost without the Doctor, Leela is drawn into a strange and savage contest on an alien world.

Continuity

• The previous Companion Chronicles play with Leela, The Catalyst, ended on an uncertain note. Leela, who appeared to have survived the Time War, had escaped her captors but was dying, as she was no longer having her life extended by her long term, close proximity to the Time Lords. Her story concludes in The Time Vampire.
• The explosion at the start of this story explains why the TARDIS' wooden console room was no longer used. It was last seen in Robots of Death. It's remains are revisited in The Time Vampire.
• The burning world the Doctor recalls is also seen in The Time Vampire.
